I'm a UNC business school graduate and a self-taught web developer.
While working on a startup, my inability to control our web app's design and function motivated me to learn to code.
Despite my relative inexperience, I've found my drive and creative problem solving allow me to see projects through to the end.
I love thinking through user interaction on the front-end and using logic to handle data on the back-end.
I created this web app for a friend who was frustrated that all habit tracker apps she tried either lacked questions she wanted and/or required her to scroll daily through tons of questions she didn't care about.
This app that lets you choose what questions you track, and soon will let you make your own questions.
Frontend: Angular 8, Angular Material, and Bootstrap. Backend: REST API made with Node 12 and MongoDB. Deployment: AWS S3 and Elastic Beanstalk.
In development: create your own questions, select multiple answers, autocomplete from previous answers in open-ended questions, a more robust data page, and front and backend input validation.
I created this project for a florist who needed to streamline how their buyer put together order quantities.
Modeled on their spreadsheet system,
I built an internal web app that enables their designers to create and track their recipes digitally, and outputs finalized excel sheets that the buyer can use to place their orders.
I built this project for a client that wanted a website with a CMS. I used the Apostrophe CMS built on Node and configured it to the client's needs.
I hardcoded the layout to ensure it looked identical to the PSDs provided by their designer and to make it responsive across all screen sizes.
Frontend: Nunjucks templating. Backend: Node 12 and MongoDB. Deployment: Heroku and AWS S3 image storage.
In development: only the first page is live on their official site because they don't have final text, images, or links for other pages. For this demo I've replaced some images.
I'm looking for a company that respects hustle and drive.
I would love to work for a company that values my diverse skill set.
I am interested in opportunities that will give me the opportunity to hone and grow my coding knowledge.
